The goal of this guide is to teach players how to effectively use AA guns for ships
of the United States Navy. Before continuing, please note that this is not a
comprehensive view: this is simply my own perspective and advice. Different people
will advocate different approaches towards using AA; anyone who feels that they
disagree with me are fully in their right to do so. However, based on my experience,
I believe that this is one of the most effective ways to utilize USN AA.

Note: for another approach towards AA, please read Cubone85's AA guide:

http://www.animemarketv2.net/AAA

While it's different from my approach, Cubone himself is also a highly skilled AA-er,
so heeding his advice in place of mine has its benefits.

This guide is divided into eight parts:

A. Introduction
B. Basic pointers for beginners
C. Basic Tactics
D. Important factors for AA
E. An evaluation of feasible AA guns
F. Which ships can best use AA
G. An escort's guide to protecting their charge
H. Advanced tips and tactics

I may add an FAQ at a later point if warranted, but for the time being, this guide will
consist of only the above eight parts.

After the last CV patch, I think the 6"/47 DP Mk 16 N/L/D guns can also be used well on
the Lexington. Yes, I know, rep or rest are more useful on a cv, but in case a cv driver
want to have some fun on his cv or just want to pwn all the dds/cls which occasionally
come too close to him, or more important, to snipe down scouts or low number of
fighters/bombers, when ur own fighters are being prepared for take-off.

I like to use either the Pensa or the Brooklyn. on my Brooklyn i can go 59 knots with 3''
guns for AA and 51 knots with 6'' guns. But if you do use Brooklyn make sure you use the
USN CL Engine lll (Heavy) that is the best for the Brooklyn.

I really appreciate your posting of this guide. So far, it has been the easiest one for me
to read and for that I am truly grateful. Now I actually can find a way to use AA in my
Oakland..... Thanks again!
