LordKelvin
The goal of this guide is to teach players how to effectively use AA guns for ships
of the United States Navy. Before continuing, please note that this is not a
comprehensive view: this is simply my own perspective and advice. Different people
will advocate different approaches towards using AA; anyone who feels that they
disagree with me are fully in their right to do so. However, based on my experience,
I believe that this is one of the most effective ways to utilize USN AA.

Note: for another approach towards AA, please read Cubone85's AA guide:

http://www.animemarketv2.net/AAA

While it's different from my approach, Cubone himself is also a highly skilled AA-er,
so heeding his advice in place of mine has its benefits.

This guide is divided into eight parts:

A. Introduction
B. Basic pointers for beginners
C. Basic Tactics
D. Important factors for AA
E. An evaluation of feasible AA guns
F. Which ships can best use AA
G. An escort's guide to protecting their charge
H. Advanced tips and tactics

I may add an FAQ at a later point if warranted, but for the time being, this guide will
consist of only the above eight parts.

Very helpful!

One note; One aspect of the Pensacola is that those T mounts will rotate 360
degrees. That helps alot while trying to track a target as it moves across my
course. Just using the "A" or "D" key allows me to keep up a constant rate of fire
and on target without pausing. I also don't have to wait while the ship swings
around or manually moving the turrets from one side to the other.

xD and if you're feeling like you want to really *crew over your team, you could put 6"Ls
on your
Guam's R slots and say a nice "hello" to the CVs in the room. You won't be shooting much
down but...hey xD nothing but a little fun and receiving a lot of "F U"s from your BB
teammates.

@horse: Check to see if ALL your T slots are loaded with guns. There are several T slots
on the Cleve and Balti that are behind the ship's graphics. Best way to check is to roll
through your guns menu. Also Rld gunners can't use AA guns. Rld Gunners can use N, L, and
Ds but not As. You need AA gunners to use AA guns. It is recommended that you use Rld
Gunners because if you want them to be your T slots on your BBs, Rld Gunners eventually
out fires and out ranges AA gunners. AA gunners only give AAW for their stats, which is
only helpful against TBs that get close or dumb CVs with dumber DBs that drops too close
before releasing their bombs. I hope that helps.
