chivalry1978
ok since the patch playing the game for me on win 7 is about a joke....it plays for 30 min then crashes in lobby. Ok here is what I have done...

all exes for the game are in the dep list. visual themes are turned off and game is running with out compatibility...and it hangs and crashes.

Now I have tried ever compatiblility and it either will not load crashes on load or crashes on the splash load and never shows the sd enternet sign

so now my question is will there ever be proper support for windows 7 64bit or some sort of fix...or is there some kind of work around cause at this point Im not
wanting to spend more money....btw a wrap around feature to the forums would be nice

OK as a Win7x64 user I am surprised that you are having as many issues.
For most I would say Win7 is more stable.
So lets see why you are having this much trouble, start by providing the system specs and if you can the

ok im updating my graphic drivers and praying that helps....but still just with admin mode and disable visual themes the game crashes left and right in lobby I mean dont get me wrong love the game but the fact is with every patch there are 10 more issues then fixes.....Do they properly test the patch before they post it.????

BBR_InsUW
here is what I was looking for
in the game folder there is a subfolder called Hshield and within is a file called "AhnRpt" if you would run that

and Copy and Paste the results of the main screen only here.

Use win98/me compatibility mode. If you ask windows to set it for you it will choose winxp service pack 2 and it wont run right.

Do this on the launcher only

@ V2

Win7 should not be run in compatibility mode, and for the majority of players it will cause lag and stutter in game

I dont understand how. If I dont run in compatibility mode I freeze in the battleroom or randomly crash quite often. I still crash occasionally but not nearly often.

If you let windows automatically set compatibility mode and it auto picks XP sp2 what you describe is exactly what happens.

this is my settings for NF LAUNCHER right this very second while I'm running win7 64x sp1:

http://i56.tinypic.com/120pc1w.jpg

Notice the key word of NF Launcher. This wont help you if you do it to the nf program only. I just logged off of NF playing very lag free.

I never did any of that dep crap or any of the other crazy things people say to do. I have very few problems running NF.

Try disabling some of the other stuff you did.

And when you say crash what kind of crash? Does it freeze? Do you get "nf has stopped working"? Is it the new memory crash error?
