A CV's job is to bomb the enemy CV/BB , provide fighter cover for BBs on his/her's team and intercept scouts/bombers that tries to attack BBs.
Stop calling a CV noob or whining for sight unless the CV carries rookie pilots and doesn't use them at all.
Also , a rookie pilots are quite cheap so if you want one you can always check the trade system.

i always use my scout

but i cant use my scout when enemy fighters are over me and no cv is south!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so unless a goddamn cv goes south to provide fighter supremacy so that i can launch my scout plane and to provide protection against DB AND TB i cant do my job you know sinking BB's and AA ships.

when cvs dont go south to provide backup for bbs you know by sending a few fighter planes to protect scout plane and kill any enemy scout, DB, TB and other fighters, i will always call cvs bad and noobs if CVS dont help in a teamgame, and its not that bbs dont want to scout, when their scout planes dont get protection from enemy fighters they will refuse to scout for themselves

so moral of the story here is unless a cv doesnt send out fighters to secure air dominance a bb cant scout period alot of games were lost when i was south and no CV was south and most cvs i saw were either DBwhores or TBwhores.

Well having played both cv and bb , the thing lacking is coordination inside a team.

I have seen bb's not taking advantage of sight bescause they are ... or they just reparing.A lot of times, i have seen bb's rush into what was a scouted area only to see the scouts's(or fp's) shoot down(out of fuel) and rush turning into a disaster. From a cv pov, that area was scouted, the  bb's are just lazing around....time to load bombers. If only there was a way bb and cv's could communicate what they are trying to do...before they do

And also just requesting plain 'vision north' is stupid especially when your cv's are of lower tiers. I am playing my IJN cv's and if my opponents are KM and US T4, i have to send my fp's center and then cut into north which takes times, so i would like a request that actually states where you need vision 'A2'. Please do understand that cv would be juggling multiple things and so they may not know that one of bb's need vision.

Team ?? What game you playing ?

No team work here :

BB6'S keep away from each other and only target smaller BB's .

Most CV's stay in a group ( all north ) and mainly bomb .

There are some good CV player's ( they have an F / R above their ship ) .

So I am playing bomerwhore cv lately... Getting called noob almost every game.

I will admit the following things:
I bomb the most important things, this can also be DD/CL/CA instead of a BB6.
I rarely use my bombers to scout for battleships, I only do this when I know for who I am scouting, otherwise it's a waste of my space.

Don't worry, I also have a fighterwhore KM carrier lvl 120. After losing several games where my BBs had plenty of sight, other team blind, to attack, they still failed. This made me stop with teamplaying and going for a bomberwhore carrier. A BW CV can still be a great teamplayer, but as I admitted, I only help the people I know.

You guys have no idea how often I get called noob for nothing, note BBs letting their scouts fly into AA or fightergroups =') Most of the times I get called noob by BBs with 30k attack.

But well the bright side of all of this is that I also play BB so I can laugh it off. So now and than I get my BB out and play it a couple of games, realising that the BBs are total jokes.

It's important that everyone should realise how they play and not look at the other player.

  • BB with 30k attack calling the BWCV a noob. (might focus on the enemy team and shoot instead of leaching)
  • CV with guns blaming for the loss. (better to use HH than and kill the sub who kills your BBs or drives them back...)
  • FW CV blaming the BBs for the loss while letting it's BBs getting bombed away
  • BW CV calling the BBs a noob, while they should have bombed that annoying AA ship.
  • BW CV calling the BBs a noob, while they should have bombed the half dead BB5, instead of the full alive BB5.
  • BBs calling the FW CV a noob for not providing cover, while they aren't shooting that annoying AA ship which is in their range.

I can name tons of other examples. If you really think you are that good than help the other player.

just want to suggest to our good MOD, can you please lower the exp and credits given to CV, why because this ship nowadays they dont care about winning or loosing the game... they just care about is credits and exp that is given to them... so the cv dont care about teamplay like having fighters to cover the air on hes teammate....

I would not hesitate to shoot flak at an enemy fighter over my head even if I risk shooting the 6 friendly fighters chasing it in circles. i.e. If friendly fighters are parked over my head, I would not have any qualms about shooting them down. When I am playing CV, I wouldn't mind friendly AA shooting my planes down either.

Because, please, please park fighters over the enemy's airspace not ours.

You can't even stop incoming bombers if you keep the fighters in your own battle line...

As to light, I ran out of scouts on my Shinano (a Shinano has 6 scouts just in case someone doesn't know) just yesterday because we were blind, there were at least 3 groups of enemy fighters parked outside my AA, and our CVs were, ok, giving us fighter cover by keeping fighters over our head. You are free to do what you like, but some things make your team lose a fight.

Thus I do not buy the OP's definition of a CV's "role"

I think most people really wouldn't mind a good BW CV that knows what it has to do to cancel out the massive fighter disadvantage, ie. bomb the enemy CVs to oblivion as quickly as possible.

Sadly, 999 out of 1000 BW CVs either can't or worse, don't do that and lead their team to a swift and frustrating defeat.

i think its funny. most games I play in the blind enemy team destroys the team with sight.

the most common reply that i have to give to my own team is "the red dots are the enemy team".

one day long ago a good cv could sway the battle one way or the other, not anymore.

it is a much more common occurance that most BB's, run from BB6, all BB's go north, running from BB6. you know this is true because every other game someone says " no BB's south" or"we need BB's south". they only target smaller BB's, CA's, AAing or are too busy typing "noob CV" when the entire map is lit.

it is a really sad thread about how its everyone elses fault but mine, because i am so pro I should control all the ships in the game.

I get more wins "in the last year" while playing Bomber CV.

If the game is so full of complete noobs, why do you have such a hard time with it?
