TeamNF_MK2

Hey guys,

I have a bit of unfortunate news to report.

It seems that our team has decided to place the Premium Trade system on an extended hiatus in order to work all the kinks out. If you've used the system then you are probably already aware  that  the speed at which trades are processed could use some improvements. This is an unfortunate aspect of having to rely on  a completly manual method. This has been an additional workload on our GMs, and while we've tried  to complete all pending trades as quickly as possible, it has been difficult to fully keep up with all the requests.

During the system's downtime we will not only work on finding a solution to the delays, but will be making additional tweaks and improvements. The Premium Trade system is scheduled to be disabled on Thursday, February 23rd and will be back online after we have been able to make necessary improvements.

We will accept listings until 00:00 PST on February 23rd. All listings posted until that date will be allowed to run their course.

I know this is a pain for you guys that have shown quite a bit of support for the system. I bet its a pain for our company as well since it brings in extra revenue, but I hope you can agree that its a necessary action since the improvements will provide a much better end-user experience as well as helping to lessen our GM's workloads so they may focus on additional tasks.

I'll keep checking in on the progress of the fixes and keep you guys up to date with details on when to expect the system's return.

-MK2

I hope the improved premium system will include added security. Currently, an account is very vulnerable as a hacker can sell your harbour sailors with just your first password.

and how would anyone get your second password... secure your computer, and use a normal pin, just like your bank card.

idiots loose accouts and sailors, thats all.

Actually, he is saying that you didn't need the second password to sell sailors off an account, or buy sailors either.

For example, lets say Player X gained access to Player Y's account, but only knows the first password. So he goes into the olive trade, puts the sailors for sale, makes a tonne of olives. Then, he gets some useless sailors of his, and gets that account to buy them for the olives he made.

ah gotcha. thats like how it used to be... but isnt the new system going to require a second password to gain acess to the olive sale tab in game?

Yes, I believe we are still on track to have it back before Summer. As soon as I have a more precise date I'll update.

This being gone has skyrocketed olive trading ingame. No one will take creds anymore it seems. Unless they need them for their next BB6.

At least with it gone, the amount of dubious credits/cloned sailors and accounts magically getting lots of olives without having bought any or traded has been reduced.

I really wish they improved the logging system for all this (both ingame and on the website).

Its funny when you get a VERY low level account with 200 million credits, tonnes of olives and selling the same sailors again and again. Then claiming TNF leaked his data in a forum post when a TNF member investigated this after a community member saw him selling the same sailors again and again, having huge amounts of credits while not being in the rankings or being a very low level.

Not really, credit market is too expensive for most of the players.

I hope they bring the olive trade back soon.
