Due to the following quote, I'm creating a thread to keep track of new ship suggestions. I'll be hiding posts as I add them to the main post to keep it easy to read.

I will only add to the main list that have link(s) with gun sizes and stats and a picture.


Issue 4: Ship Design Competition – Ljsevern, Fleet Leader Forum, 2 Feb:

Could we hold a ship design competition of some form and then implement it?

Answer 4: This is a very good idea. As luck would have it, we recently hired an NF graphic designer who would be able to help pick out some good ship images from the player side. We will work on setting this into motion for use in the near future.

How about a ship from the Great White Fleet? The Great White Fleet was the fleet that president Teddy Roosevelt sent on a world cruise to show that the USN would soon be the biggest naval power in the world. However, they were all already obselete when they started the cruise! XDThis is the USS Ohio

I enjoy the idea of going back to some WW1 era ships. The wickes class destroyer of the USN would be nice. (Any one who read the Destroyermen series will understand)

One thing that is missing in this game and onl one or two types of ships that fill this role and they are both Neutral frigates.  Fast attack torpedo boats for EACH nation.

 

I am thinking something that is lightly armored, turns on a dime and has maybe 6 SMALL (4 forward 2 rear) gun placements. But carrys FOUR FORWARD torpedo mounts that can fit up to triple or quad launchers.  

 

I really would like to see the patrol torpedo boats.  Maybe not something as powerful as this, but i would LOVE to see a higher level NATION specifc ship that carries at lest 4 seperate slots of forwards torpedos of at lest dual luanchers.

 

That and I can not belive that the IJN Tone Cruiser is NOT in this game.  I have asked over and over for it but people have jsut ignored my post or spammed the heck outa them that they got locked.

I Also posted an expanded ship line of other nations ships from WWII For the neautal harbor from ff, all the way to BB's inculding Carriers but it too was spammed and then locked.  It did not have subs because at that time SDE was saying that and I quote. "Subs will never ever be in navyfield."

I would like to see another Hyuga style BB for the IJN. Instead of having the 2/4 Ise gun setup, it would have the 3/3 Fuso gun setup. Maybe a EBB Hyuga Remodel.

a Sumersible battle carrier. That is a fail idea (no offense) a mixture of a Battleship and a sub is pointless, if you do that what's the point of putting guns on it while you only will stay under the surface, mixture of a carrier and a battleship also failed for both Russia and Japan, the runways were too short for them to recover the planes so pretty much the planes had to crash into the ship. A mixture of a sub, battleship and a carrier is a real i mean REAL bad idea, the sub would be too heavy for it to submerge so it would dive way too deep like what happend to the K class boats none of them were sunk in combat they all were sunk becouse of accedents, these were big boats and they either dived too deep or got rammed due to they were just too slow at manuvering to avoid them like what happend at the "battle of May Island" 3 K class boats were lost at that incident and there was no enemy involvment, NO enemy involvment look it up at google if you want more information. This idea seems like a good idea but its not the ship would be too heavy for it to dive, and too large for it too manuver plus if you were to have it submerged it would get sunk another sub with ease, it would be a big target for enemy subs plus if you were to be under water with that thing you would only be able to take 1 torpedo hit then the ship is flooding with water and the more water in that thing the more heavier it gets the more heavier it gets the more likely its going down, and it's already a real heavy ship. Pretty much a death trap for the crew who were too man it and a complete waist of mony, man power and resources.

I agree with what you say, Torpedo boats, PT boats,  were a great asset during the war they were small but they were able to sink a ship what is 4 times the size they are plus they were cheap, so why dont they add it. The Tone class was not exactly a ship you would want but yes it should be in the game, if you havent played battlestations Pacific the Tone class had guns in at the bow and I found it useless against cruisers in the game. But they were a ship class that did played quite a role for Japan during the war I agree they should add that.
