  • 2017 Navyfield open for suggestions~!

    12. 25. 2016 20:43

Merry Christmas everyone!

At this great season, it's time to plan for the next year. TeamNF is now open for constructive suggestions that will help Navyfield to provide us fun for another 10 years. Our developers are very busy, as you know Navyfield mobile is coming out soon, so we have priorities. But we will treasure all your ideas, especially ideas in promoting Navyfield!

A promotion campaign will be held soon, we are still drafting more details about funding and contents.  If you are able to help in any ways(ie Graphic design, video, funding, game promotion, magazine etc) You are more than welcome to join and help!  Leave your opinions below or reach me at  [email protected]    ^_^  (My email no longer accept unban/restore request for certain reasons, please send ticket with new account if you can't access your original one)

For long term NF supporters, if you encounter problem in accessing your account or you want to justify a previous ban, please send a ticket and we will review case by case.

Vinnson

SDEs policy was and is nothing more than bring your money and shut up. Now have fun in permabanning this account as you allways do, when people say what they think.

I'll show you I am different and we will care what you think. Time will prove our determination. No we won't ban you or hide your comment, you can say whatever you like although constructive ideas are more welcome. Thanks.

This game brings back so many good memories for me, I spent a good few years here and a hefty amount of money too. Was even a monitor at one point and time, although unfortunately I had to quit because I had to leave to work in a different country for a full year. By the time I got back, I moved onto other games and of course most recently World of Warships.

I guess to reflect on all the things that happened in NF while I was still around, I would say that some of the actions of the past really hurt the game. The seemingly lack of giving a damn by the devs, the randomness that led to people getting banned. I remember my best friend at the time was part of a pretty large fleet and then one day the fleet leader was banned because someone with a grudge posted a fake account selling thread, simply listing his account name on a 3rd party forum. I know my friend and the fleet leader tried very hard to help explain the situation and was told to get in touch with the 3rd party forum's GMs and request IP information in order to clear up an issue (something that is utterly impossible as you can well understand). With that, my friend quit the game and not long after the majority of the fleet quit as well. A situation that could have been much better resolved. Furthermore, there was a time when volunteer TNF people got access to payment support tickets, costing players the last chance to actually get in touch with an actual paid employee and resolve any issues. Just bad decisions all around.

But moving on, NF1 had some wonderful mechanics and gameplay. Something that I desperately wanted to see in NF2. SDE had a great chance to just update the engine and graphics of NF1, resolve some bugs and improved their customer care and they would have retained so many of NF1's hardcore playerbase, and instead they gave us the absolutely stupid version of NF2. I tried NF2 and I was disappointed beyond belief and I believe the end result is pretty obvious on NF2, an already dead game.

One last thing, while NF1 was still somewhat popular and the only worthwhile naval game to play, I mentioned in posts that NF should really promote their game on a larger scale. Absolutely nothing was ever done. Now as the player base has become smaller and smaller promoting this old game is really not going to do much for this dwindling population and I'm really sorry to see this game die slowly.

2011 New Years - something I'll always remember: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCkBZwVtk7Y

I guess the tl;dr version is that this is unfortunately too little too late. The population has moved on and it's very unlikely to come back to this game.

I admit that there were many wrong decisions made in the past by different people, no matter it's GM or ex-mods. We reviewed it and willing to do better in the future. With the top management of SDE directly monitor Navyfield now, we have a stronger backup in achieving something and improve the game. I don't know why I am spending much time and effort in this, maybe just simply love the game and memories we had. Long live NF and together we will make it happen.

Thank you for coming back. We promise you there will be no more of these.

I heard that there are new managment at SDE.  Is that true?  The change in management style is related to this?

As the above post stated, using bots in low level game modes similar to those in missions (or even in blizz) that provide some exp may help players start new game rooms, instead of waiting for 10 min even without starting, seems like an idea for low level players (e.g., level < 25).

Officer death or Crew death is just totally unnaceptable. 3 games in a row last night I think I lost 21 Vets and who knows how many other crew. I disconnected of course but 3 times gets old. I had a good game to get my double XP and lost 3 vets with numerous other crew just to get a win.

We paid for them. We Earned them. You people take them away. Unacceptable !!!

Cv players. How many CV stopped playing because Pilot crew death is just ridiculous. Even with a Medic and even a Seaman on board. I sold my Lev 125, 300 vet USA medic because it didnt do ANYTHING.

This is going to be a long thread thats for sure.

If the GM's care what they think then they should adress one of the main issues brought up... the multi account purge and subsequent unclear rules. Being told it's "not being enforced" is just setting us up for a repeat all over again.

More blitz Ideas:

What about simply letting subs (even if ss1 and ss2 only) into blitz. I played the game with ss 1's and 2's and no HH and it was a good battle with low level dd's. Maybe if sub players had a real place to break in they wouldn't have to 'power level' their BO's to ss4 before they can survive in gb's and the HH jungle.

I started out with a US ss1, it was rough, but I had some chance in GB then and learned some good hard lessons.

A thought:

Are clouds gone forever? I remember especially when at SS2 level learning to hop from cloud to cloud to get enough air to make it acrosss. Clouds allowed lower level subs have some chance to get attack.
