LordKelvin
So, with all the spare time I have on campus doing nothing (not to mention the frustration
of rarely ever fighting a worthy opponent in-game whenever I even bother to play), I
thought that I'd spend some of that spare time writing a USN BB guide.

First and foremost, the reason that I'm writing this isn't because Ar2's guide sucks, but
rather that it's horribly outdated, plus it has no information at all on the Northampton line
of BBs (well, I guess that could count under certain definitions of "suck"). The objective of
this guide is to remedy that problem and provide players with an up-to-date source for
using a USN BB. Not necessarily better information, since Ar2 has far more experience
playing than I do, but at least more coverage and updated.

And since I've provided and updated information for more than a single sticky *cough*,
you get to have the privilege of scrolling down to the next post to read what I have to
say.

I loved using 5"/25 singles on my Nevada ^^ And New Orleans...and Northampton... =P
Those things near blockshot and can one-shot most scouts if you have good aim.

AA for Tenn41: I use the 5"/38 mod 40 singles - they have decent range and good damage,
with decent amount of ammo (being singles, it'll take a long time to use up all the ammo).

AA for Tenn45: 5"/38 Mk 29 L - putting these on gives you good range, with 3 binds of
ammo. This should be enough for most battles, as long as you're not thinking of clearing
the skies of everything (I admit that I'm guilty of that at times...)

To be honest, I never saw a 45knt Tenn. That's why I'm asking. ^^

I'm just starting my US line, but props on the guide LK. It was entertaining.

Dunno, but I saw them all the time shortly after the patch and everyone was trying out the
new stuff. 45 knot Tenn45s were common in BB12 and BB123 games.

"As for the Penn43, unfortunately, she's not the fastest US BB2 anymore. She's
capped at 44 knots and will actually get slower as the levels go by and crew weight
adds up. I actually have to run my Penn43 with empty T-slot crew spaces to keep
her at 44 knots.

Tenn45 on the other hand with high-ish engineers is capable of 45 knots. Making
her faster then the Penn43. :("

Getting 45 knots OH with Tenn would mean you are doing 27 knots base, right?

How is this possible? With a playable setup (4 guns, full crew, no AA) I always drop to 26
base, capping my OH at 44 knots.
