  • USN Battleships Guide

LordKelvin
So, with all the spare time I have on campus doing nothing (not to mention the frustration
of rarely ever fighting a worthy opponent in-game whenever I even bother to play), I
thought that I'd spend some of that spare time writing a USN BB guide.

First and foremost, the reason that I'm writing this isn't because Ar2's guide sucks, but
rather that it's horribly outdated, plus it has no information at all on the Northampton line
of BBs (well, I guess that could count under certain definitions of "suck"). The objective of
this guide is to remedy that problem and provide players with an up-to-date source for
using a USN BB. Not necessarily better information, since Ar2 has far more experience
playing than I do, but at least more coverage and updated.

And since I've provided and updated information for more than a single sticky *cough*,
you get to have the privilege of scrolling down to the next post to read what I have to
say.

My thanks for this guide and your other threads on proper play of a BB. I followed
your suggestions as I went up the SoDak line and I can now see its working.

Last night in a GB that was mostly BB with no CV, I danced around and snuck in
some hits on a Yammy and another Sodak and got the kill shots on a Lion I and
H39. I came away with no damage because my team scouted better and the other
team was focusing on the big guys.

i can't thank you enough for helping me understand my ships weakness and strengths...i
have become a better player not from practice but from research on how to set up my ships...

lol I loved the thing about skill XD

Great job. But I strongly suggest putting a Monty section Oo if only to make 90% of the
monty I see stop driving it like an overgrown iowa.

If you want I made a guide on Transformers forum on USN BB that quickly cover each ship.
If you want to read the monty part (or the whole guide, your insight is always welcome)
tell me, and I'll send it to you.
