Allow me to quote myself and make an adjustment if you will

I added exactly 1 Recon pilot to my pilot mix at the expense of a bomber and I have not been on a losing team since.  I now start the battle launching 3-4 planes with that recon pilot and they move to wherever I think needs vision to open the fight escorted by 2 flights of ftrs.  I still have bombers on my Kaga but the addition of 1 Recon pilot (granted the recon planes are the modified Zero recons with 80 Offense but still) seems to almost turn the tide for my side.  

This isn't an apology or retraction of previous statements; just an observation of recent developments.

Hey, an AW Kaiser with 11" and no scout is probably fun too. Why don't they allow us to do that?

 

It's all about playing within the restrictions of the game, it is currently not a restriction preventing players from loading only bombers.

Just as you play a BB because you enjoy destroying enemy ships with shells; a CV BW player enjoys destroying ships with bombs from their planes.

 

Unless you plan on banning CW BWs, it's almost impossible to stop them from playing the way they like; if you force them to have fighters on their CVs, they'd just load 1 pilot and 1 fighter; get it killed and then go BW.  Then you'd be back at square one complaining about CVs.

 

If the rolls were reversed:

What if SDE decided to increase the map 10x and increased fighter and bomber fuel so they can fly the entire map and return.  Then reduced the gun range so that the BBs could only hit 1/4 of the map size forcing BBs to stay close to CVs to protect them. How many BBs would stick with the CVs to shoot down fighters and bombers and cover CVs in case enemy ships got to close, while the CVs did the work of destroying the enemy ships?

I bet you would take your BB and run off to hunt the enemy; even though your role of support CVs while they destroy the enemy. Why would you do that? Because it would be too boring for you to sit and shoot planes...maybe the odd destoryer or CA that gets too close.  Some may stay so they can get the win, but many would go hunting.

The point is, if you are going to use your valuable time to play NF, you want to have fun at it...some people enjoy flying fighters, hunting bombers, providing sight and winning games...some like to bomb and destroy ships.  

 

Let them play the BW role; maybe they will win a few, lose a few...maybe they will grow out of that stage of thinking me, me me...and thing team play. Let them learn it and still think of NF as fun; force them and they may quit and I think that hurts everyone when our community shrinks faster than it grows.

This. Most of the time BBs get so caught up in the action(sometimes me when I play BB) they forget that they still need to protect CVs and then the CVs get hopelessly Cornered and sunk. I do admit that CVs generally have a huge affect in the game but this is because like I said its 6 vs 20. If there were 20cvs and 6 BBs(GB I) You would see ALOOOOT of similaraties in respects to the Bashing.
Maybe there should be a "Pro" GB1 where players who passed a "test" or have been shown to do great teamwork should play in. Same as regular GB1 but with players that have the proper skills or mind for teamwork.

CVs most of the time suck balls but its more depressing to see more than half of your BBs to be either cowards or no have no skill. OFCOUSE Nooot many people would care because its all about the most attack you can get and blaiming the CVs if you loose the match. Scouting for your TEAM is just as risky because usually there are AA ships that obv try to shoot down your planes. And some of you say that Its ok to stay back JUST Because the enemy has the SAME/more/ range as you? From What I see BBs also have horrible teamwork together.
If BBs had the same teamwork from back then too Then CVs can go to hell. But no. You only see Great BB teamwork with 2 or more buddies in the same team or a fleet.

CVs far back supported their BBs just as much as their BBs supported them. This is prolly cause we had alot less people playing back then. Back then Hell You could be a BB1 and your CV5 would friggin scout for you and blind the enemy with no big prob. Back then tho I remember Seeing 14BBs max and 8 CVs. Now its 20/6. Difference?

OR you would make the CVs who have potential quit the game because they were bullied and harassed too much. Why do you think we have so little CV players now? Hmmm....

more due to the lack of exp they gain. a lot ppl lvl their cv crew on bb and use a bo reset... and wops there is a new cv6 which comes out on selected mode events. cv needs like 5 good won battles and bbs need just 1 or maybe 2 for same amount of exp.

both harrasment and exp are the main causes. I stoppend my next R,F CV on CV4 because ppl was shouting on me why i don't cover whole map if I'm the only non bombing CV in room?
