im currently lvling a crew on a CV (BW)...and in almost every game someone is making derogatory comments....telling CV how to play...

i.e. ....
VISION !!!!!!!
NEED FC !!!!
etc.

i contribute to the game as much as i can,,,usually sinking 1 or 2 ships per battle (average),and consistently rank in top 5 in attack.

and yet, still am the recipient of remarks.
if a BB wants vision......use your scout.
i  just wish ppl would be mature enough to realize that every player has their own style of play.

my job is to sink ships...as everyone elses is, but its hard to do when,the majority are going after BB and ignoring AA.

i just wanted to get this out there...comments are always appreciated

One last item  I forgot, if you are tired of your fighters getting scewed up raise and lower the altitude and do not ever fly at default maximum altitude. Thus your fighters will be able to provide sight for the heavy hitters. Key word micro manage your fighters and bombers.

Even with micromanaging and playing with the altitude its hard to scout even with just 2-3 AA Ships around. I know this from experience. Thats like saying a BB should zig-zag his way in and out of an enemy BBs range. But with all this there is still a chance of you getting hit.
I dare you to fly your planes into a pack of BBs with good AA ships and lets see how long your fighters last WHILE Scouting the BBs.

And don't forget too a Good CV with Horrble BB teamates is ALSO a  dead CV.

Here's the problem in a nutshell.

A CV gets nothing for sending Scouts.  There's ZEO incentive for a noob CV to send a scout when he want's XP.  A CV2/3 will get more XP from BW in a loss than Scouting in a win.  Sucks but true.

A low lvl CV will be fighter camped just like a BB and is helpless sometimes too.

Yelling at a NOOB CV player does nothing for BB play.

That is a great observation, although I do feel that the slack in the BB players not carrying/using their scouts properly is now being unfairly pushed upon the CV players. As good as it is that you now win, I don't feel it should be up to you to scout, but instead to be free to focus on bombing/ftr capping stuff :(

I see a bleak future of lazy selfish BBs dawning upon us...

I appreciate the question and the simplest answer is two fold:

1. I came by a lot of mines in the current event.  I now have over 3k of them

2. I found a classed Recon pilot cheap that allows me to fly advanced recon planes that I've not had access to before including one with pretty good offense for a recon plane.

I tried flying the recon guy with a small fighter escort who then provided CAP for the front line while the recon guy dropped a few mines and it works.    A tough recon pilot in the right plane can make life miserable for the 1-2 plane detachments sent up by the other side if they are t1-t2 ftrs especially.

I don't feel obligated, I'm having fun doing something slightly different

I think the role of BB and CV are just like marksman and forward obsever in combat.

Here explain the meaning of them:

marksman:this job is different from "sniper".The main difference between a marksman and a normal sniper is that a marksman is usually considered an organic part of a team of soldiers, whereas regular snipers tend to work alone or with other snipers. In the military, marksmen are sometimes attached to an infantry squad where they take accurate long-range shots at valuable targets as needed, thus extending the reach of the squad.

forward obsever:an observer with forward troops trained to call for and adjust supporting fire and pass battlefield information. In the absence of a forward air controller, the forward observer may control CAS strikes.

===============================================================

Forward obsever can searh where the enemy who out of the marksman's sight exactly is,and then maksman can go to a clear area take out the target.And forward obsever also can call air force to apply a long distance attack,and clear enemy's air support,protect marksman from enmey's air strike when bashing.In the other hand,marksman can protect forward obsever from the sneak attack of enemy's marksman.

Perhaps I used a sunk metaphor.But what I mean is,whatever which one is the king of battle,if CVs don't searh for their  BBs and blind the enemy BBs,their BBs will down,and enemy BBs kill the CVs at last.If BBs don't rush back to help CVs which are attacked by enemy BBs/CA/ SS,u can imagine what's happen......

===============================================================

In additional,your exp in a battle is not just depend on your "personal attack",and mainly depend on "team attack".So the way for CVs to get more exp is help your BBs make more attack by send your fp.During the time for a CV from lauch one wave DBs to attack or sunk ONE enemy BB,our BBs can sink 2 to 5 enemy BB(and some small ships) if have good sight.During CV's DBs coming back to their mother,BBs are still sinking enemy ships......

===============================================================

My way to play CV is,FP or FP+DB/TP.When FP is low level,I will keep stay around a BBs group and use local fp to sweep up the aircraft overhead.When our team is in adventage then a will load some bombers to bomb enemy BB/CV/SS.I usually can get at least 10thousand attack,that's enough if u also shoot some aircrafts down,because that also can gain your exp.

===============================================================

Finally,this is a game,if u are about to enjoy it,then u should enjoy the cooperation and communication between u and your teamates.And  I really enjoy it.

@above. That is the typical cv role you will see most ppl try to preach. BWs do work well in both gb's and HA, the user just needs to know how to work it. But don't rule it out

The Job of a CV is to provide Air superiority, I don't care if the CVs on my team are using locals, or mostly DBs, I just want my freaking Scout pilot to be freaking able to take off.

Being fighter camped by 9 T4 FP surely won't let my scout take off. I just need those planes away, after that I can pretty much depend myself to scout.

I do blame those BB drivers that expect the CVs to scout for them, I know there are some really competent CV drivers out there, but mostly they are doing what the OP here is doing. Like it or not a CV is a support ship, you are supposed to provide SUPPORT to the team. Be it in the form of lighting the enemy or just providing Fighter cover and retaining the air superiority.

TL;DR: Stop sending DBs if there are T4s FP camping my BB preventing me from launching my scout. also, I can't AA and fight the enemy BBs at the same time and the AI for escorts is just lame.

ZERO incentive?...it's called WINNING....your team wins...you get MORE exp...that you need THAT explained to you kinda proves the point about a lot of cv drivers....

Reading comprehension is not your strong point is it?  A CV 2/3 gets more XP in a loss while bombing than from a win while scouting... I'll say it again, a CV gets LESS XP in a scouting win than in a BW loss.  Comprende? Verstehen sie? Capiche? Get it?
